CERN - A Gateway to Science, Technology and Innovation

Prof. Emmanuel Tsesmelis is an experimental particle physicist with a career spanning scientific research, academic teaching, science communication, international relations and management at CERN and at several universities. The lecture will cover introduction to CERN, primary aims including research and discoveries in particle physics; the advancement and development of new technologies and their transfer to fields beyond particle physics; the education and training of tomorrow’s scientists and engineers; newly established Science Gateway and opportunities for Pakistani Nationals at CERN.
