Launch of PhD Applied Mathematics Program at PIEAS

The Department of Physics and Applied Mathematics (DPAM) in collaboration with Centre of Mathematical Sciences education has been awarded NOC by HEC for a PhD Applied Mathematics program. The launching of PhD program is in line with PIEAS vision “…..to impart education in fields which are essential for the technological development of Pakistan and, in particular, to play a pioneering role in fostering the establishment of educational programs in newly emerging technological fields in the country.”. The DPAM has now 3 PhD Programs (PhD Physics, PhD Medical Physics and PhD Applied Mathematics), 2 MS programs (MS Physics and MS Medical Physics) and one undergraduate program (BS Physics). The applications are now open via PIEAS admission portal (http://admissions.pieas.edu.pk/Admissions/PhD.html) and interested candidates can apply for PhD in the following thematic areas Numerical Analysis, Nonlinear dynamics and Stability analysis, Fluid Dynamics, Micro-fluidics, Nano-fluidics, Micro-plasma, Cryptography, parallel distributed computing, Sensitivity analysis of nonlinear systems, Machine learning based optimization, data science etc.
