The Academic Programmes
Study Programs to be Offered at the Department of Nuclear Engineering include Master degree, M. Phil degree and Ph.D. degree courses and research work in Nuclear Engineering.
M.Sc. (Nuclear Engineering.)
This program is by far the oldest at PIEAS. More than 750 engineers and scientists have graduated under this program over the past three decades and today they form the backbone of various projects of the Commission. The participants of this program are taken from almost all the engineering and scientific disciplines. This diversity is just one of the imperatives of the multi-disciplinary nature of nuclear engineering itself. It has always been a stimulating challenge for the faculty to guide a group of people with different backgrounds towards the unified goal of understanding the complex systems and processes involved in nuclear technology.
Ph.D. (Program)
It will include an original research work on a topic of choice. Thesis will require an international review and minimum 3 publications in reputed journals.
