Week 1: MS OFFICE TOOLS

  • Time and Stress Management
  • Leaders and Leadership
  • Accounting Procedures
  • Procurement Procedures

Course Attendance Policy

Each Course day is divided into three sessions. So, ideally, BMC comprises 45 sessions.

Any Participant who misses more than FIVE SESSIONS of Course Study (for official reasons or otherwise, whether with prior permission or otherwise) would be liable to be withdrawn from the course. Genuineness of reason for absence cannot compensate for the loss of learning, hence no exceptions would be allowed.

Any participants who misses more than 15 minutes of a session (at a stretch or in parts) would be liable to be marked ABSENT from the session, even if the attendance sheet has been signed by the participant.


Course Fee

Rs. 24,000 per participant
Note 1: Payment is required only after registration is confirmed by PIEAS.
Note 2: Preferabe mode of payment is through cheque or demand draft drawn in favor of Head LAO, PIEAS.
Note 3: Payment cheque/ draft may be sent/ delivered to Head DCMS, PIEAS, Nilore, Islamabad.

8:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday


Lodging and Transport Service for PIEAS

All Strategic Commissions support their respective participating officers.

With the kind advice and support of Chairman PAEC and Director (Admin & Coord.), PAEC Rest House, G8, Islamabad accommodates PAEC Officers arriving from other cities. PIEAS Transport caters pick/ drop service to such officers from PAEC Rest House only.

Eligibility Criterion for Registration during 2012

PAEC Officers: Only the officers who have been promoted to SPS-X on or after 01 Dec 2007, and have yet to complete the Basic Management Course, will be registered. Basic Management Course is not a requirement for the promotion of Senior Medical Officers, as per ESR-2007/ 2011.

KRL and PNRA Officers: Officers in promotion bracket (±1 year, SPS-X) from these Strategic Commissions need to contact the HRD centers of the respective Commissions. Once given a green signal, they need to fill the Nomination Form, and send the same (in Excel format) to jahmed@pieas.edu.pk.

Nomination Procedure

Please follow the following steps:
1. Check whether you are eligible for registration during 2012. If yes, please proceed, otherwise don't.
2. Download the Nomination Form.
3. Open the form using MS Excel 2007 or 2010 version.
4. Fill in all the details (using MS Excel) very accurately. Overwrite the existing sample data.
5. Make sure that all the signature fields are blank, indicating a completely filled-in form.
6. Save the file giving it your personal name, e.g. Dr. Muhammad Ramzan.xlsx
7. Email the file to jahmed@pieas.edu.pk on MOST URGENT BASIS, but before Monday, 02 April 2012.
8. Print the filled-in form on A4 paper.
9. Submit it to your Head of Establishment for approval.
10. In case of PAEC, Final Approval will be granted by the respective Member. For other Commissions, the processing will be advised by respective HRD centers.
11. Approved cases may please be forwarded to Head DCMS, PIEAS, Nilore, Islamabad.
12. If you fail to get any support/ help on using Excel from your colleagues, please contact Head DCMS.
