Facilities

1. Computing Laboratory - I
Computing Laboratory - I has been designed primarily for PC users, and is equipped with forty high speed Pentium IV and Pentium III Personal Computers. One of the laboratories is designed for multimedia usage which has a high-resolution digital multimedia projector. All these systems are interconnected on 100 Mbps line and are served by 1GHz servers. High-speed printers and scanners are also available on the network. The equipment in the laboratories is connected with power backups to avoid any loss due to power failure. Undergraduates also have limited access to SUN workstations which are used primarily by PhD students for their research.

Under the current configuration each student and faculty member is provided with a unique ID to access his/her e-mail account and network resources. The network connections are also available in the hostels. Internet and e-mail facilities are available to all the students twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week.
