Short Courses at PIEAS

The Industrial Liasion Divison in collaboration with the Departments ar PIEAS arranges specialised, skill-focused short courses. ILD invites proposals of short courses in September/October from the departments on a specified form.

Departments prepare the details of a short course and assign a course coordinator who takes the responsibility of its success. The course coordinator of the respective department prepares the course contents, decides on the duration, prepares leaflet of the course and conducts the course with the help of his other colleagues. ILD prepares a schedule of courses offered in a year and informs other organizations on its mailing list. The Division also seeks help of security, administration, accounts, transport and hostels management in its various activities related to the course. It arranges classroom facilities in consultation with the course coordinator. It also manages the record keeping and issuance of certificates.
