Courses Selection
a)

In a regular semester, a fellow of PIEAS will normally be required to register for a certain number of credit hours of courses in the respective post-graduate programmes as outlined below.

Note: Registration for maximum number of credit hours of courses may be allowed in a regular semester if failure in courses of previous semesters has to be made up.

b)

In the final semester, when the fellow registers for a Thesis project, a maximum of 3 credit hours of course work will be allowed.

c)

If a fellow has to register for more than 3 credit hours of course work in the final semester, the Thesis project will be shifted partly or wholly to the next semester.

d)

The fellows will select and register in courses in all semesters with the advice and consent of the Head of the respective department.

e)

Deviation from the optional course selection guidelines may be condoned by the respective Head of the department, if required to accommodate compensation for failed courses.

f)

Decision about repetition of the failed courses will be made by the respective Head of the department by the first week of each semester.

g)

A fellow who fails in any compulsory course will normally be required to repeat the same course with the nest session. If there are serious problems in adjusting the course schedule accordingly, the respective Head of the department may allow an appropriate substitution.
