A fellow of PIEAS has to maintain an over all monthly class attendance of 100% for the continuity of his fellowship. The over all monthly class attendance for the fellows shall be provided to the examination and registration section by the respective department on monthly basis on the 3rd working day of each month.

In cases of emergency such as the death of nearest family members (mother, father, brother, sister, husband/wife and son/daughter) or others, the student shall be allowed leave from classes only if approved by the Head of the respective Department. This leave shall not be more than five continuous working days and may be allowed once in a semester.

In exceptional cases additional leave will be sanctioned by the Rector on the recommendation of the Head of the respective Department.

For the cases of illness the leave must be obtained from the Head of the Department on the recommendation of the medical officer of PIEAS.

Fellows who do not fulfil this criterion of class attendance shall be given fellowship proportional to their class attendance for that month.
